The idea was to create a label that could be removed and used elsewhere. I liked the idea of a diecut sticker, but fell down a rabbit hole of making Magic The Gathering cards for another project and fell in love with the idea of a label you could play with.

I started with a character based on the koji-kin used in sake brewing.
